Born & bred in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia, Annice Lyn a former national competitive figure skater & an architecture graduate developed her passion for photography while obtaining her architectural degree in UCSI University. She founded Anntopia in 2015 as a platform to enable her creative pursuits in visual artwork, designs & seeks to visually document : Weddings, Humanitarian & Sports.
Annice Lyn believes the art of photography is being able to articulate & transpose fragments of moments to timeless imagery via visual story telling. She is the former chief photographer for for Malaysia national figure skating team & as official Malaysia team photographer at the 29th Southeast Asian Games, Kuala Lumpur 2017 covering Figure Skating & Short Track Speed Skating.
In January 2018 Annice was the only accredited Malaysian photographer representing her nation to covering the Ice Skating Union Four Continent Figure Skating Championship at Taipei, Taiwan 2018. She contributes her photography profession for the 14th General Elections as one of the head designer & official photographer plus devotes her time with social development for the children, senior citizens, & destitute.
Annice Lyn is the first female photographer based in Malaysia to be accredited for the XXIII Olympic Winter Games, PyeongChang 2018 , she has also covered 2019 ISU Worlds Figure Skating Championship at Saitama Japan, stringed for the Associated Press and a current Canon Malaysia EOS Youth Ambassador who hopes to inspire younger generation of photographers. Annice’s work has been picked up by Samsung, Associated Press, AFP, Asian Correspondent, NST, The Star, various news and online platforms. Among all her achievements Annice is too a photo creator of the Year 2018 finalist & a Photomania seminar speaker at the 2018 & 2019 Kuala lumpur Photography Festival.
When Annice is not taking photos, she enjoys good reads, films with great OST, coffee, scrumptious bites of a molten lava cake & creative illustrations. She is active in both Muay Thai & figure skating plus loves celebrating life in pixelated form. She is currently a independent photographer available for assignments worldwide, project commissions, workshops, collaborations as well as good conversations.
